Why High Voltage EBW Detonators?
Conventional approaches to explosive initiation in unmanned platforms have relied on low-voltage detonators, which utilize sensitive primary explosives that can be susceptible to unintended detonation from mechanical shock, static electricity, or other environmental factors.
High-voltage detonators (e.g., exploding bridgewire (EBW) detonators) offer superior safety characteristics because they utilize precise electrical parameters to initiate and do not contain sensitive primary explosives. All Gale Force Marine ESADs support Teledyne High Voltage EBW detonators.
